High-Speed Continuous Mixers & Dryers
The next generation of continuous processing. QuantumX ELEIT Series high-speed continuous paddle mixer/dryers deliver fast, uniform, continuous mixing — and, with jacketed thermal design and controlled residence time, continuous drying and conditioning — of powders, granules, moist solids, fibers and sludges, with precise retention control and liquid addition.

Continuous Throughput
Steady-state operation for consistent flow and maximum productivity.
Fast Uniform Mixing
High-speed paddle action delivers uniformity in seconds, not minutes.
Liquid Addition & Coating
Precise liquid injection for wetting, granulation or coating with confidence.
Continuous Drying
Jacketed thermal design plus residence control — condition, heat, cool or dry in continuous flow.
Built for Reliability
Rugged construction, engineered for continuous industrial performance.
Inside the ELEIT Series Continuous Paddle Mixer
Engineered paddle action delivers rapid axial conveying and intensive radial exchange — producing a fast, uniform, consistent mix while maintaining precise control of retention time.

Controlled Feed
Material enters through the inlet and is captured by the paddles for consistent pickup and controlled loading.
Axial Transport
Helical paddle arrangement moves material quickly from inlet to outlet, maintaining steady-state throughput and a short process footprint.
Radial Exchange
Paddles move material outward to the vessel wall and inward to the center — exchanging particles with every rotation.
High-Frequency Mixing
High-speed paddle rotation creates intense shear and turbulence, ensuring rapid homogenization of powders, granules and liquid additions.
Controlled Discharge
Mixed material flows to the discharge end and is metered out through the adjustable discharge dam — restricting flow to increase hold-up and residence time, precisely controlling mix intensity and throughput.
The ELEIT Series combines high-speed paddle rotation with engineered axial transport and radial exchange to deliver consistent, repeatable results — even with challenging materials.
The Variables That Drive Performance
Specify the mixing action, not just the capacity. ELEIT Series mixers are built around the variables that truly drive performance — delivering uniformity, throughput and reliability at scale.
Paddle Angle & Attack Angle
The attack angle governs how aggressively the paddle engages the material; the paddle angle controls lift and axial transport. Together they define shear, convection, and the balance of radial to axial flow — tuned to manage degradation risk.
Paddle Spacing & Mixing Zones
Staggered, precision-spaced paddles prevent dead zones. Spacing determines the size and number of mixing zones — repeating circulation cells that promote radial exchange and maximize throughput without short-circuiting.
Shaft Speed & Tip Speed
Engineered tip speed (Vt = πDN) drives the right shear and turbulence for rapid homogenization without compromising product integrity. Higher tip speed increases shear, dispersion and thermal transfer; excess only adds wear and degradation.
Residence Control via Discharge Dam
The adjustable discharge dam sets the restriction at the outlet, controlling material hold-up and residence time inside the mixer — the key to achieving consistent quality and reaction. Precise, repeatable, dialed in with the dam height.
Fast Conveying
Low attack angle, wider spacing, higher speed for maximum throughput and minimal residence.
Intensive Blending
Higher attack angle and optimized spacing create strong circulation for uniform blending and dispersion.
Liquid Absorption
Gentle paddle geometry and controlled residence enable efficient wetting, granulation and coating.
Continuous Drying & Conditioning
Balanced shear and extended residence maximize heat transfer — the ELEIT runs as a continuous dryer, heater or cooler, not just a mixer.
Liquid Addition, Coating & Agglomeration
The ELEIT Series delivers precise, uniform liquid application directly into the mixing zone — enabling rapid wetting, effective coating, and controlled agglomeration for consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Optimized Nozzle Location
Strategically positioned above the mixing zone for maximum liquid distribution and contact.
Controlled Droplet Size
Consistent droplet formation ensures uniform coverage and reduces waste.
Fast Absorption Time
High shear mixing and paddle action accelerate liquid uptake for efficient process cycles.
Wall-Build Prevention
Even distribution and thorough mixing prevent buildup and maintain optimal flow.

Continuous Uniformity, Residence Time & Validation
Engineered to perform. Validated to prove it. QuantumX paddle geometry can reach target uniformity (CV ≤ 3%) in up to 60% less residence time than generic paddle geometry.*
Residence Time Distribution
Narrow, consistent RTD for predictable mixing performance.
Hold-Up & Fill Level
Minimal hold-up and stable fill levels for consistent throughput and less waste.
Sampling & CV Validation
Designed for easy access sampling and repeatable CV validation across operating ranges.
Feed Accuracy Matters
Precise feed rates and stable flow are essential to achieve and hold target uniformity.
Validation Checklist
- Define target CV and test method
- Verify feed accuracy and stability
- Confirm average residence time
- Measure CV at multiple operating points
- Document and trend results
*Typical application example: thermal conditioning duty at 6 tons/hr, 45–90 s residence time, incoming dry matter 32% conditioned to ≥ 40%, target CV ≤ 3%.
Why Continuous Paddle Mixing?
Consistent Throughput
Engineered for non-stop operation with steady-state flow that maintains maximum productivity — no charge/discharge dead time, steady power draw.
Compact Process Footprint
High-capacity mixing in a small, efficient footprint — a continuous body of the same duty is typically a quarter of the batch volume.
Controllable Residence Time
Precision engineering of geometry and discharge for reliable, repeatable process control from 20 to 180 seconds.
Adaptable Process Geometry
Configure for your material and objective — shear, blend, coat, granulate, hydrate, or condition.
Scalable Performance
Proven geometry scales seamlessly from lab to production; Froude number held constant on scale-up.
Line Integration
Integrates directly with gravimetric feeders, extruders, pelletisers and packing lines.
Continuous wins clearly on energy per tonne and labour for steady 24/7 single-product duties above ~15 t/h; batch keeps lot traceability and recipe flexibility. Read the full decision guide with the 12-row table »
